Splitsville at Disney Springs was one of the highlights of our visits to Disney Springs, as it offered so much more than just bowling! Located at the West Side of Disney Springs, this is a huge entertainment venue with over 50,000 sq feet of bowling, billiards, dining and live entertainment.
We had walked past this venue on previous visits to Disney Springs but we decided to finally give it a try as we were looking for something different to do as a family away from the parks and to keep two teenagers entertained.
We had over an hour slot for bowling, which gave us plenty of time to get a bit competitive and see who could rack up the most strikes and the highest scores.
Our host was really friendly and welcoming and led us to our pre-booked bowling lane, located on the first floor, we couldn’t believe the size of Splitsville it is enormous with 30 bowling alleys, pool tables and multiple bars.
Bowling here is expensive especially when compared to what you would pay in the UK, but this is in Disney so you are always going to pay a premium but it is worth it and became one of our most memorable experiences at Walt Disney World.
There was a huge range of drinks to choose from including sodas, milkshakes, smoothies, beers, wine and their signature cocktails! Our waitress was fantastic with us, really welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. Whilst we got ready for our first game of bowling we ordered drinks and seeing the girls faces when their soft drinks arrived in Splitsville-themed bowling pin souvenir glasses was priceless – a great start.
The retro vibe at Splitsville is really something special as was the fun atmosphere. We loved the Disney and Floridian-themed murals on the walls and old school bowling shoes to wear, as it gave us that authentic US bowling alley feel we were looking for, but still felt super family-friendly being within the Disney bubble.
It was also fun to spot the subtle Disney touches—like Mickey and Minnie featured on some of the brightly coloured bowling balls. This is what makes Splitsville different, it offers far more than just being a bowling alley, this was the perfect mix of entertainment and great food and the girls in particular loved it.
After an action packed day at Epcot after a few rounds of bowling, we were getting hungry. Luckily, we didn’t have to go far to grab a bite! The menu at Splitsville was extensive and unlike the bowling costs was really good value, with plenty of choice for the whole family – the food here is surprisingly good for a bowling alley and would beat or rival many of the chain restaurants at Disney Springs.
We ordered chicken tenders and their macho nachos as a snack to share at our bowling lane. It was the perfect set-up—bowling and snacking side by side. Our starters were delicious and tied us over until we were ready for our main meals after bowling.
Along with the incredible US ten pin bowling experience one of our favourite parts was the added gamification during bowling. If you managed to get a strike when it set up with a red pin in the front, you’d win a free donut from Everglazed Donuts nearby. While we all scored a few strikes, none of them landed when the red pin was at the front. But hey, that just means we’ll have to come back and try again!
Once we finished bowling, we made our way to the dining area for our main meal and desserts. Splitsville isn’t just about bowling; the food here is impressive and affordable, especially by Disney Springs standards.
Chloe took our waitress’s recommendation and ordered the chicken fried rice as did Ian who couldn’t resist the sound of the steak ranchero tacos —both of which were a hit. Holly went for the kids’ burger and fries, while I went with the cheeseburger deluxe, served with crispy fries, and it was exactly what I needed after a busy day of Disney fun.
We were too full to each have a dessert, so we decided to share the Ghirardelli brownie a la mode, and let me tell you—it was so unbelievably good!.
If you love Ghirardelli chocolate, this is a must! I’d recommend requesting a table with a view of Disney Springs if you can. We were lucky enough to get a table by the windows, and to top it off, there was even a TV at our table, which Ian appreciated since he could catch some live NFL.
Another highlight of the evening was the drone show. We had front-row seats to the Disney Dreams that Soar drone show, right from our table! It was such a magical way to end our time at Splitsville, with the lights and music creating the perfect atmosphere.
Overall
If you’re planning a visit to Disney Springs, I highly recommend adding Splitsville to your itinerary it’s a hidden gem that lots of UK visitors might overlook. Whether you go for the bowling, the food, or both, it’s a fantastic spot for families and has something for everyone. We would definitely return.
