Novotel London Wembley Review

If you are looking for a great family friendly hotel close to Wembley Stadium and the SSE Arena, then the Novotel London Wembley must surely be high on your list.

We recently travelled to London to watch our daughter perform at the SSE Wembley Arena, and booked a one night stay at the 4 star Novotel London Wembley.

Opened in 2014 this modern and contemporary hotel has 235 rooms across three different categories – superior, executive and suites.

Located virtually in the shadow of Wembley football stadium and the SSE Wembley Arena with the Wembley Park underground just minutes away offering direct trains into central London on the Jubilee line it was the perfect location.

The lobby was large, bright and airy and had a really sleek and modern feel to it, providing a great first impression to the hotel. In the corner of the lobby were two Apple iMac computers, where you could sit, relax and browse the web.

A large touchscreen display called the Novotel E-Concierge contained hotel information, live weather updates, dining and entertainment information was really useful. It was a nice interactive facility if you wanted to look for local information with just a few swipes and clicks.  This was surrounded by football memorabilia in-keeping with our surroundings as we were close to the famous home of English football at Wembley stadium.

We got a lovely warm welcome from the reception staff, and check-in was fast and efficient.

Our spacious and modern suite was just wonderful, comprising a master bedroom, lounge and kitchen. The suites at the Novotel offer the space and amenities that you would find in an apartment but with the service and facilities offered by a 4 star hotel. It was a perfect choice for a family when visiting London.

Our room had a double sofa bed in the lounge area, along with a large wall mounted HDTV, Bose speaker system, safe and a comfortable seating area.

The fully functional kitchen offered a Nespresso coffee machine, tea and coffee making facilities, along with appliances such as a dishwasher, oven and fridge.

The master bedroom had a lovely, large bed with good quality bed linen and another wall mounted HDTV. Just next to this was the spacious modern bathroom with a decent-sized bathtub with powerful shower, bathrobes, slippers and lots of white fluffy towels.

Complimentary toiletries were provided by Novotel’s in-house brand, which were a range of eco-friendly bath products.

There were spacious work desks both in the master bedroom and the lounge area with the necessary connectivity options for you to get some work done (if you are here on business). Wifi was complementary and speeds were good during our stay.

Before we made our way to the SSE Arena, we had drinks in the bar of the hotel, which was modern and stylish with a good selection of cocktails, beers and wines.

The breakfast was delicious with lots of options from hot cooked breakfast to small pastries, fruit and cereals.

The area has undergone a big transformation over the past few years and felt really family friendly. The London Designer Outlet at Wembley Park was just a short walk from the hotel and offered a great range of shops, restaurants and cafés.

The hotel is in such an excellent location if you are attending an event at Wembley or the SSE Arena, and it’s also just a 25 minute tube ride into central London.

Even though Novotel’s are predominantly business hotels in general, the Novotel Wembley was a fantastic choice for a family offering terrific levels of customer service.  We would be perfectly happy to come back to this hotel in the future.
