We stumbled across this gem of a place whilst staying at the newly built Premier Inn in Haverfordwest, West Wales. It is about a 10 to 15 minute drive heading west towards St Davids in Pembrokeshire.
We enjoyed taking our 5 and 8 year old girls and the chance to run around neatly moved lawns and play in oversized playhouses was their exact idea of fun.
It is suitable for all ages as there were woodland walks, stroll around the lakes which were eye-catchingly pretty with water lilies and wild flowers.
My youngest loves finding sticks and using them as walking sticks as she walked through the paths through the woods. They pretended they were in a Disney movie!
At Hilton Garden Court there are three wooden playhouses hidden in amongst the woodland to find and explore.
Badger Hall was the first house we encountered, a two storey house that had a kitchen with plates and bowls which instantly became their pretend restaurant, and my husband and I were their customers!
The children girls and their daddy really enjoyed exploring the biggest house Squirrel Lodge.
It is a three story house set in the woods with lots of things to do when in the house such as toy train sets to other toys!
One of the girls favourite parts of the day was outside Squirrel lodge where they fetched water from the water butt and used this to mix their custom made soup of twigs and water in the giant cauldron!
There was also a really fun swing at the entrance to Squirrel lodge!
Finally at Elfie house there was a tree rope swing that we all had such fun on and a giant tree that the girls loved climbing!
There were amazing photo opportunities in the beautiful gardens and grounds of Hilton Court.
The girls had an amazing time and opportunity to explore and play on tyre swings, rope swings and giant swings created endless laughter and giggles at daddy falling off of the giant swing.
Make believe playing in the playhouses and making friends with other children is priceless.
There was a lovely tea shop which over looked a giant swing that most adults seemed to enjoy too. You could watch your children playing in the gardens from the outdoor tearoom.
We had lovely lunch at Hilton Court in the Woodland Tearoom with everything freshly made and of a really good quality. We enjoyed a cup of tea and some home baked cakes . The sandwiches were also tasty and everything was reasonably priced.
The cost of 2 adults and two children to enter the gardens was under £10. £3.50 per adult, £1 per child and 3 and under free. The staff we very friendly and helpful and provided us with a picture map which had icons that children could also read.
The toilet facilities were clean and set at the entrance and there was also a shop selling arts and crafts as well as pottery items.
Hilton Court is hidden gem in Pembrokeshire. Once you visit you will be wondering why you hadn’t discovered it before as it’s a fantastic day out with the family and a nice retreat from the usual hustle and bustle in a peaceful environment. Hilton Court is place that we all really enjoyed and is a fantastic place to make great family memories.
