Review – Good Morning Breakfast with Goofy and his Pals at the Four Seasons Orlando

Ravello at the beautiful Four Seasons Resort Orlando is the luxurious setting for a superb character breakfast, “Good Morning Breakfast with Goofy & his Pals” and really is a hidden gem. Our character dining experience at the Four Seasons I would rate as one of the very best offered across Disney World.

As you arrive at the Four Seasons its lobby and public areas are truly spectacular with huge windows overlooking the lake and gardens. There are subtle Disney touches including stunning chandeliers arranged to look like the Magic Kingdom fireworks, Mickey Mouse shaped seating and beautiful floral displays everywhere.

We made our way to Ravello located on level 1 of the hotel and the sign was out for the Good Morning Breakfast with Goofy & his Pals.

This exclusive character breakfast runs on Thursdays and Sundays (and on select Tuesday mornings) from 7.30am with the last sitting at 11am with characters staying until 11.30am.

During the other days of the week Ravello is open for breakfast but with no characters.
We were warmly welcomed by staff and taken to our table in the restaurant where the girls excitedly caught their first glimpse of the characters they would be having breakfast with.

On our table was a souvenir breakfast card which doubled up as our photopass and our server introduced herself took our hot drinks order and offered us freshly squeezed orange juice.

In some of the Disney hotels character breakfasts can get quite hectic, but the Four Seasons Orlando gets this just right. Ravello is a contemporary, modern, and elegant restaurant.  With lots of open space it never felt overcrowded making this a luxurious and intimate environment to dine with the three main Disney characters.

As you would expect at the Four Seasons, a beautiful buffet selection awaited us with lots of options from hot cooked breakfast, omelette station to small pastries, fresh fruit, yogurts and cereals. My daughter loved the smores pancakes that were a speciality that day.

The quality and presentation of the breakfast options was unparalleled and it was a great way to start our day before our visit to Disney’s Magic Kingdom.

As delicious as the breakfast is at Ravello, the real attraction of this breakfast is the special Disney guests that you get to dine with you as you enjoy your breakfast.  Watching the girls star struck as they had a chat with Minnie as they all sat at the table together created such memorable moments and amazing photo opportunities.

We loved the fact that the character costumes were slightly different to the usual attire that they wear in the Disney Parks.

All were dressed in their country club summer clothing very in keeping with the luxurious setting of the hotel – we especially liked Minnie’s outfit where she was sporting a stylish scarf and a special sunglass bow on the top of her head.

As we were enjoying breakfast, more characters made their way around to our table starting with Goofy who was accompanied by a Photopass photographer for professional pictures of the whole family. These complimentary digital downloads taken with Goofy & His Pals are included in the cost of your breakfast at Ravello.

During breakfast, there is a “Celebration Moment” every half hour or so. During this time, we joined in with the characters, staff and other guests waving our napkins (like at Chef Mickey’s) over your head singing “Good Morning ,Good Morning” – a memorable song that you will remember when you are back home.

Unlike the character meet & greets in the parks and in some of the on-site Disney hotels where you often feel rushed because it’s so busy, at the Four Seasons we had plenty of time and multiple opportunities to interact with Goofy, Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse throughout breakfast.

The girls loved collecting signatures in their autograph books together with having fun and chatting with Minnie, Mickey and Goofy. The look on their faces was just priceless and so many magical memories were created during our Good Morning Breakfast with Goofy & his Pals experience.

It’s really no surprise that the level of service received during our breakfast was of the very highest standard and the extra lengths the attentive team at the Four Seasons went to – making my family feel so special. It was my in-laws 40th Wedding Anniversary and we were surprised with a platter of chocolate dipped strawberries with happy anniversary written in chocolate. It’s these little touches that made our visit so memorable.

We walked off our breakfast taking a look around the hotel and its gorgeous landscaped grounds.  In the lobby café, Lickety Split, (which my daughter advised me is from Wreck it Ralph) specialised in scrumptious looking cakes and home-made gelato.

The girls found Fable the beautiful boutique at the hotel with a fantastic range of Disney products many of which we did not find at the Disney parks.

Overall

Having breakfast with Goofy and Pals was just an incredible experience that I would recommend visiting at least once if you have never been before. For us it has become a must do character dining experience for all future trips to Disney World and it was the perfect way to start off our day before heading to Magic Kingdom.

Whilst you don’t need to be a guest of the Four Seasons Orlando to enjoy this exclusive experience and the beauty of the hotel, after our visit we are already planning a stay at the Four Seasons for our next holiday to Orlando.

Pricing & Location

The cost of the breakfast was $46 per adult and $24 per child aged 3-12 and I would strongly recommended making a reservation. If you are driving to the Four Seasons, valet parking is validated to be complimentary for those who have dined at the resort’s restaurants.

The Four Seasons Orlando is located within Walt Disney World approximately 3 miles from Magic Kingdom, tucked away in an area called Golden Oak. The drive from the gatehouse into the resort is beautiful and inspiring.  This private gated community of quaint streets lined with colonial-style million dollar homes was designed by Walt Disney Imagineers so is full of special Disney touches.
